Between the Roundups

Last week's Presto Pasta Night Roundup - #257  is up and it seems that everyone was a little slow... only four entries... but each one has me drooling.   Even I was too busy to do a pasta entry.  Helen of Fuss Free Flavours was a little late with posting the roundup, and my world was whizzing around so much, I only just got the chance to mention it here... and to thank everyone who did contribute.

This week, I'll be hosting Presto Pasta Night #258...- the grilled eggplant, mushroom & spinach lasagna is still just an idea.  I have to wait for the oven to finish self cleaning before I prepare it for tonight's dinner.

Just to whet your appetite, I thought I'd share a few ideas from my latest obsession Pinterest.... I'd share photos, but they're not mine.  I'll just send you over to the original sites.

The most wonderful, not to mention easy to prepare, Pasta Pie from Noble Pig, the official blog of Noble Pig Vineyard & Winery that will totally knock the socks off your guests and have them thinking you just graduated from some 5 star culinary academy and spent all day in the kitchen.

Ziti with Portobello Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, & Goat Cheese from Food & Wine Magazine.

Soba Noodles with Sweet Ginger Scallion Sauce from Simply Reem.  I'm drooling to much to even begin to describe it.

Now that I've got you thinking about pasta... be sure to share your own dish with us.  Just write it up, mention and link to Presto Pasta Nights and send me an email with your URL to ruth (at) 4everykitchen (dot) com by Thursday.  Then check back for the roundup Friday.
If you'd like to host a PPN Roundup. Just drop me a line to pick a date. April 20th and beyond are available.  It's never to early to sign up!

Mmmm. Those pasta ideas sound great. Just sent you my version of Pizzoccheri by email. This dish is from an Italian grandmother in Lombardy and layers homemade buckwheat pasta with fontina cheese, frizzled sage, cabbage and potatoes. You'll have a buttery chin the whole time you eat this.

The last few weeks have been very hectic for me. I hope things quiet down a bit. I am available to host whenever you need. Just let me know.
