Michelle, that Italian Mama Chef did an awesome job of hosting Presto Pasta Night Roundup #152 Thanks so much, you're amazing. And everyone who sent in your mouth-watering dishes....Presto Pasta Nights would be nothing without you.

It's hard to believe that PPN is actually going to be three years old next week. I started it as a lark, hoping I wouldn't be the only one contributing...and it just gets bigger and better every week.

Saveur Magazine + Pasta = Tons of Fantastic Options

Saveur Magazine is another one of my very favorite foodie magazines. So naturally I thought I'd share some of their pasta treats. And this month the pasta star is Crispy Duck with Udon Noodles.

Naturally I had to check out what pasta recipes they had on line. When I typed in "pasta" into their search engine I got 217 choices! What I really love is the fact that the recipes themselves come from all over the world too. Like this glorious dish of Angel Hair Pasta with Seafood from Rasa Malasia.

Pasta treats from everywhere in the world, the question is how does one choose....by cuisine, by ingredient, or by season. Check out the options and let me know which one you choose. The Fettuccine with Artichokes and Chicken sounds fantastic.

Donna Hay Magazine + Pasta = Heaven

Another of my favorite foodie magazines is Donna Hay Magazine. It's been high on my list since...well, forever. I love the photos. You could really lick the page. I mean check out those ice cream cones.

It is always weird though, looking at the "seasons" upside down. It's now summer in Australia and we had a "snow day", which means tons of snow, schools and loads of businesses closed for the day. Then again, it's always nice to dream about what we'll get to eat when the weather heats up and the crops grow locally.

I thought I'd share some of her pasta dishes that look awesome...

Prawn, Chilli & Coriander Pasta (translated for the North Americans...that's shrimp, chili & cilantro) . However you say it, it's bound to be delicious.

Prosciutto & Pea Pasta (afterall, Spring is supposedly just around the corner)

Roast Sweet Potato, Garlic & Chicken (for those of us stuck with more Winter)

Presto Pasta Night Week 150

Susan of The Well Seasoned Cook did a brilliant job hosting this week's big Presto Pasta Night 150. What an awesome range of dishes. I truly don't know where to start. Mac 'n Cheese and other creamy dishes still seem to predominate. It is Winter, after all. But I do see signs of Spring in the line up.

Bon Appetit Magazine - Mac 'n Cheese and Lots More

Last week, I obviously had Mac 'n Cheese on the brain and shared Fine Cooking's options.


This week Bon Appetit Magazine also had a delicious looking Mac 'n Cheese recipes, which didn't make it to the cover, but does direct you to 15 choices on their website. The Cheese Monger uses Gruyere, Cheddar & Brie. Double Dutch uses Gouda, Edam and Swiss Chard. Other stars...leeks, cauliflower, broccoli, lobster (I have to try that one!). There's even one with Nachos.


Next week, perhaps I'll venture off the Mac 'n Cheese theme, but with Winter doing its cold, damp and dreary thing...I'm not making any promises.

fine Cooking Magazine Mac 'n Cheese

It's time to use Presto Pasta Nights to showcase some great pastas from my favorite cooking magazines, and what better one to start off with...my favorite ...Fine Cooking

I've actually been meaning to write this since I received their newsletter with several Mac 'n Cheese dishes a while ago, but somehow kept getting caught up with other things. So without further ado...starting from this month's cover (seen at the top of the post)

Pulled Pork Mac 'n Cheese with Caramelized Onions & Four Cheeses - what could I possibly add to that title?

Quick Skillet Mac 'n Cheese - my kind of quickie

Classic Baked Mac 'n Cheese - I love the topping

Baked Ziti with Tomato & Sausages - perfect combo

Tex Mex Mac 'n Cheese with Green Chilis - OLE!!

That should get us started in style.
