I, of course, might not make it in time for tonight's deadline. It's hot and muggy and the thought of boiling water, does not appeal. Too bad I didn't prepare some pasta this morning so we could at least have pasta SALAD for supper. Oh well...here's what I might have made...

Whar are you sending in to Amy?

Lots of Great Pasta Recipes

Tomorrow night Pam of Sidewalk Shoes is hosting Presto Pasta Nights #123. Frankly, I thought this was going to be another one of my entryless (you know what I mean, even if it isn't a real word) weeks.

I had great plans from some fantastic sources...like Leek, Wild Mushroom & Spinach Lasagne from Jamie Magazine, May/June '09. I'd share the recipe but it's not on their site yet. That said there are some amazing choices.

The Paccheri Stuffed with Tomatoes from La Cucina Italiana, June '09 are too adorable for words. And their version of Spaghetti ai due pomodori looks fantastic. It's from the currant issue so you'll just have to a) buy the magazine; b) wait until I make & post it; c) wait one more month for it to be on line. In the meantime, check out July '09 for a gazillion options.

LCBO's Food & Drink (my favorite magazine - and it's free at any LCBO. Of course that means you have to be in Ontario to get it. Oh well, their website is awesome as this Pasta with Wild Mushroom Sauce can attest.

Another of my favorite magazines is delicious and May '09 was their Italian Special...need I say more? The Sausage Meatball Pasta Bake is on the cover and that's just the tip of the iceberg...

So what are you making this week? You still have time to send your entry to Pam. Just send an email to morefromscraps (at) comcast (dot) net and cc me ruth (at) 4everykitchen (dot) com and I'll see you at the roundup tomorrow.

Presto Pasta Night #122 - a Great Roundup

It's official...Presto Pasta Night #122 is up and ready for a fantastic weekend of pasta eating. Joanne of Eats Well With Others did an awesome hosting job...a million thanks for a job well done!!

And Kudos to all of you who sent in this week's tasty pasta dishes. Now that I'm on South Beach Diet, Phase II, I can actually EAT some of them rather than just living vicariously through others. Once again ...my dilemma...which ones to choose first.

Next week, Pam of Sidewalk Shoes will be our honored guest host. Send your entries to morefromscraps (at) comcast (dot) net and cc me ruth (at) 4everykitchen (dot) com

Living Vicariously Through Other People's Pasta

This week, yet again, I won't be making pasta. That's probably the hardest part about doing the South Beach Diet, Phase I...that and no fruit. Oh well, only one more week to go. So I thought I'd live vicariously through other people's pasta this week.

I found a great recipe site - CD Kitchen with hundreds of thousands of recipes...true not all are pasta dishes, but this one is....Cavatelli with Broccoli Rabe.

My good friend Christie at Christie's Corner made this glorious looking Pasta with Garlic Scape & Herb Pesto

A gorgeous looking Pasta Summervera by guest blogger, Kerri Conan on Bitten (one of my favorite Wednesday visits at NYTimes.

How could I not drool over this Capellini with Shrimp in Creamy Tomato Sauce over at Gourmet Magazine.

Okay...that's all I can handle for now. One more week and I can eat whole & mulit grain pastas or even better Dreamfields Pasta (they have lots of recipes here for low glycemic index pasta dishes). SIGH.....

Tomorrow, Graziana of Erbe in Cucina will be posting the Presto Pasta Night Roundup #121. I can't wait to check it out and see what I can "South Beachize". You still have time to send your entries to scrivi (at) erbeincucina (dot) it and cc me ruth (at) 4everykitchen (dot) com.
